We are sorry to hear that you must re-home your dog(s). We receive many requests to take in senior dogs every day and are unfortunately unable to accommodate them all. Our rescue is made up 100% of volunteers and we are not always able to respond to every request.
It is very hard and often traumatic for a senior dog to transition to a new home late in life. We urge anyone contemplating the surrender of their dog to consider whether you’ve exhausted all possible avenues that would allow you to retain ownership of your dog. If you need help keeping your dog, please let us know and we will do our best to provide assistance. If you have no other choice but to rehome your dog, please complete this form in its entirety. We cannot respond if missing any information or photos.
You can also try reaching out to several rescues at once by visiting phillynokill.org/connect-with-a-rescue. You are more likely to get a response if you include as much detailed information about your dog as possible. You may also try rehoming your dog directly to a family looking to adopt by listing on rehome.adoptapet.com/r/84281 or getyourpet.com.
