Our Hospice Dogs

We are committed to offering and supporting the end of life needs of our community’s pets. We believe all dogs should be given the opportunity to pass with dignity in a caring and supportive environment with the medical management needed to ensure a gentle, pain free passage.
Our hospice fosters are a team of loving, experienced and caring families that work with our veterinary specialists to ensure a high quality of life through medical treatment, good nutrition, behavioral health, and an enriching home environment.

Our hospice program makes up roughly 50% of the dogs we have in our care. These dogs come to us in many different ways, with many different medical issues. They may be owner surrenders with an elderly family member unable to physically care for a terminal pet or a senior shelter stray with complex medical challenges that prevent them from being adoptable.

For whatever the reason we label them ‘Hospice’, that never lessens our commitment, care and compassion to treat these beloved souls as one of our very own, and offer them the quality of life and dignity every dog deserves.
