We are so grateful when our adopters give us updates! There is nothing better than knowing how well our seniors are doing in their forever homes! Our alum, Cyrus, was adopted two years ago and his family recently reached out with the best update 🥰 : “It’s been 2 yrs since I adopted Cyrus & I wanted to let you know he’s doing very well! We absolutely love this little Angel & we’re so glad we made the decision to adopt him. You’d never know he’s an older, blind dog because he’s so happy & still playful. On Tuesday, our long-time hospice senior, Gizmo, crossed the rainbow bridge in his parents’ arms. Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words, and in this case, we think this memorial video from his family speaks volumes. This is what senior dog rescue and hospice care are all about. With love and devotion, Gizmo seemingly aged in reverse, despite the many health challenges that came his way. He was a wise, special old soul who was kind and gentle to every stranger - human or animal - that he met. He took every single one of his many veterinary appointments in stride (even, sometimes, in sleep). He bounced back from surgery after procedure after medical condition, and showed an immense will to live out every moment he had left. From taking walks and climbing stairs, to enjoying snacks and spending time with his brothers, his spunky side showed more and more as time went by. This is how we will remember him. We’ll never know what his early life was like, but we do know we could make sure he had the best golden years because of his hospice family, our community of veterinary specialists, and all of our supporters. Gizmo, you certainly left paw prints on our hearts. ...

And this is what 80 lbs of pure love looks like right after her manicure 🥰! Talk about a sweet, gentle and laid back soul. It’s all in one package with our new girl, Reese. Her vet visit uncovered some arthritis and GI issues. We have started her on meds and we are hoping for some quick relief. We will also put her on a diet to help with her hips and allow for more mobility. Only in foster for less than 24 hours and she has captured everyone’s heart. ❤️ ...
